Hygienists Extended Duties Course
Aims
To train Hygienists in the necessary theoretical and practical skills to administer safe and effective inferior dental block injections, take impressions, place temporary dressings & re-cement crowns in accordance with the amendment to the Dentists Act UK 1984, for permitted Extended Duties for Dental Auxillaries, July 2002.
Course Overview
Lectures will include local anaesthetics, medical histories and emergencies, temporary dressings and cements and impression materials.
Hands on Practicals will include administration of block LA injections, placement of temporary dressings, and re-cementing crowns.

Courses begin with registration at 9.00 am and close by 5.30 pm
Cost per delegate: £190.00. Price includes lectures, practicals, course notes, certificates of attendance, lunch and refreshments and accreditation of completion of the requirements for clinical use of these techniques.
